If you haven't had your daily dose of frustrating rage today, get a load of this: In 2006 an elderly woman in China was pushed off a bus while trying to board, fracturing her collarbone. A 26-year-old helped her up and walked her to the hospital for treatment. Once the elderly woman heard her medical bill, she went straight for the good Samaritan’s throat, blaming him for the whole thing.

When the case went to court, the judge ruled that since the young man was first off the bus it was likely he who knocked her down. Furthermore, if he was not guilty, he wouldn't have helped her to the hospital, but instead caught the real evildoer.

Blogs erupted at the verdict, claiming good deeds were dead and if anyone were to get hit by a bus they shouldn't expect to receive any help. With “common sense” being the determined factor of the ruling, the judge basically ruled that it's normal to ignore those in need of help if you're not the one who caused it, just walk on by.
